California Dairy Families Kick Off Dairy Month With Recognition From Governor

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. & MODESTO, Calif., June 9, 2015 – This week, California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. proclaimed June as “Real California Milk Month,” paying homage to more than 1,450 dairy families who make California the number one milk-producing state and dairy the state’s number one agricultural commodity. This regional distinction is in addition to the annual National Dairy Month celebration that recognizes the range of dairy products and the farmers who produce the milk that helps feed the nation.

SAN FRANCISCO (May 26, 2015) ­­– Denise Moreno and James Neuburger, junior high students from La Quinta, Calif., were selected as two of three student representatives to serve as a State Ambassador for Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60), the nation’s largest health and wellness program.

Brielle Prock of Denair Selected as State Ambassador Representing California at National Fuel Up to Play 60 Summit in Chicago

SAN FRANCISCO (May 26, 2015) ­­– The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) has selected Denair student Brielle Prock, daughter of dairy producers, Ray and Erica Prock, as one of three students to serve as a State Ambassador for Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60), the nation’s largest health and wellness program created in partnership with the National Dairy Council and the NFL, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
