California Dairy Princesses

California Dairy Princess Program Logo

The California Dairy Princess Program has been in effect for many years as part of the California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB) advocacy efforts. This program provides an opportunity for young women to represent the dairy industry in their district and across the state.

Over the years, the program has built a favorable public image for milk and dairy products through Dairy Princess appearances at industry and agricultural functions, school groups, and with the media.

Local district contests are held from April through June, see the application for your local contest date. The Dairy Princess and Alternates will participate in a training and orientation week, which provides valuable skills for use during her reign. The training is a mandatory event.

Please review the application and District Spokesperson Agreement, which can be accessed by following the link below. To apply, please complete the fillable application and the individual District Spokesperson Agreement (which is broken down by districts and listed on page two of the application).

The California Dairy Princess program provides young female dairy leaders an opportunity to serve as ambassadors for the California dairy industry. The yearlong commitment to the program provides valuable professional development and communication skills that will benefit young ladies for many years.

Each district has slightly different requirements, but contestants cannot be older than 21-years-old by contest date. Please review the application clearly for the district where you qualify to compete. Please note, no late applications will be accepted.
