John D. Talbot Named CEO of California Milk Advisory Board

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, MODESTO, Calif. — (June 19, 2014) – The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB), one of the largest commodity boards in the United States, today announced the appointment of John D. Talbot as their new CEO. He will assume the role beginning July 7, 2014.  

He most recently served as Vice President of Global Market Development for the Almond Board of California where he led strategy and development efforts to build global demand for California almonds. His consumer product experience includes positions at Procter and Gamble, PepsiCo and The E & J Gallo Winery. Prior to the Almond Board, Talbot spent several years in brand strategy and marketing for leading technology firms including Verisign and Plantronics.

“John’s deep international experience and blue-chip foundation in consumer packaged goods marketing and his strategic sales management skills will serve us well as we work to position California as a source for milk and dairy products globally,” said Richard Wagner, Chair of the CMAB Board of Directors.

Talbot holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Wooster in Ohio and a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
