New Dairy Princess Crowned Olivia Machado of Tulare Selected as District 5 South Dairy Ambassador

TRACY, Calif. – June --, 2023 – Olivia Machado of Tulare was selected as the 2023 Dairy Princess for the California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB) District 5 South in a crowning event on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Olivia will represent District 5 South, which includes Tulare, Inyo, and Mono counties. As Dairy Princess, she will play a key role on the CMAB’s Communications Services team in meeting community relations objectives.

Olivia is the daughter of Joe and Rose Machado. She was born into two family dairies, Julian Sanchez and Sons Dairy and Machado Dairy and Farming. Her earliest memories are taking rides on a tractor and baling hay with her grandfather. Olivia is an active member of Tulare Future Farmers of America where she is a part of the Ag Issues Speaking Team and the Vine Pruning Team. Olivia will be a senior at Tulare Western where she is a member of the Varsity Track Team, Varsity Swim Team, and Varsity Basketball Team. She supports her community as a Little League Basketball Coach and is involved with the Tulare County Farm Bureau Leadership Program.

Olivia’s duties as Dairy Princess will include speaking on behalf of the California dairy industry to various audiences throughout the year and promoting the Real California Milk Seal.

As Dairy Princess, Olivia will attend a professional development training focused on presentation skills, advocating for the California dairy industry, leadership, and business etiquette.
